Getting Started

All first-time clients receive a 30 minute Initial Assessment where we discuss your needs, goals and any obstacles, working together to create an individualized plan to ensure you progress.

3 x 60 minutes Yoga Therapy Privates are typically valued at $375, but for first time clients I offer a special Introductory Package, the Starter Program, which includes a FREE Initial Assessment for only $299.00. (total savings $138.50)

WHAT TO EXPECT AT YOGA THERAPY Calgary

The Initial Assessment includes:

  1. Comprehensive Intake: a detailed assessment of your health history, current treatments and medications, current physical, mental and emotional states. This is the foundation on which we will design your practice to overcome your concerns.
  2. Postural assessment: you will be guided through simple yet specific targeted movements while standing, lying down on your belly and lying down on your back (if accessible).
  3. Yoga Therapy Practice: each practice is tailored to suit your specific needs, capabilities, goals, and life circumstances.
  4. Bespoke home-practice handout: you will be provided an accompanying diagram of the practice to be done at home in between our sessions.

Your personalized home practice may include:

  • Diet & lifestyle recommendations,
  • Breathing techniques,
  • Individualized physical movements,
  • Deep tissue body work,
  • Meditation & relaxation practice,

Svatantram: self reliance. This program is designed for individuals with a past history of injury/disease who are looking to progress from experiencing occasional flare-ups to none.

We will focus on strengthening your constitution in order to prevent further recurrences.

Continuity Program

Sodhanam: purification. Designed for individuals who are in a non-acute phase of the disease, with no more symptoms of pain/inflammation.

We will focus on gradually improving functionality so you can resume your normal life activities on your own, pain-free.

Throughout the 6 months, the sessions will be reduced gradually so you rely less and less on the Yoga Therapist’s guidance and more on your own body’s healing capacity.

equanimity Program

Samanam: pacification. Designed for individuals in acute phase. The treatment plan will be focused on pacifying the pain, rest and relaxation in the first place. Over the course of the program, we will move towards improving functionality and autonomy. Towards the end of the program, we will strengthen the entire constitution to reach a state of balance.

Throughout the 10 months, the sessions will be reduced gradually so you rely less and less on the Yoga Therapist’s guidance and more on your own body’s healing capacity.

A condition‑specific small group Yoga Therapy program honouring your oneness — beyond your health condition or any other difference.

Together in Health blends individualized therapeutic care with the connection and support of a small group. This program is designed for individuals ready to explore embodied healing in a safe, compassionate environment.

Program Structure

Initial Assessment — 60 minutes (one‑on‑one)

A comprehensive intake, postural assessment, and co‑creation of a curated daily guidance plan.

Weekly Group Yoga Therapy — 30 minutes

Small group sessions (6–8 participants) held weekly for 16 weeks.

Optional Compassion‑Based Closing

An opportunity to share and be held in presence. Sharing is optional — this is not a sharing circle.

Monthly Progress Consultation — 30 minutes (one‑on‑one)

Private check‑ins to refine your plan and support your progress.
